Laser coatings

Laser coatings

Only dielectric coatings are used for highly reflective mirrors. These coating systems are optimised for one wavelength or one laser and thus achieve reflection values of up to 99.9 %.

CO2 laser coatings

The coatings for CO2 lasers are designed for the highest demands in industrial environments. Our precision CO2 laser optics / total reflectors are used inside a laser resonator, for example. They are also used outside the laser as deflection mirrors. Internal reflectors are e.g. rear-view mirrors, decoupling mirrors or folding mirrors. Total reflectors are front surface-coated optics for maximum reflectivity.

Zero-phase CO2 laser mirror

This coating is designed for high-power applications and external optics for laser cutting or laser marking.

  • R > 99.9 % @ 10.6 µm and AOI 45° (s-pole)
  • R > 99.7 % @ 10.6 µm and AOI 45° (p-pole)
  • R > 45.0 % @ 0.632 µm and AOI 45° (r-pole)

Total Reflector (Resonator / Cavity)

This coating is designed for high-power CO2 laser cavities. It is particularly stable against the high UV radiation in the resonator and has particularly low absorption. Coatings for Pleiger resonator mirrors (plane mirrors or spheres) are precision elements in CO2 laser resonators and laser systems that are decisive for their performance:

R > 99.9 % @ 10.6 µm and AOI 0°

Total Reflector for 10.6 µm and 632 nm

A total reflector coating for 10.6 µm and 632 nm is designed for high-power applications in which additional high reflection is required for a pilot laser due to multiple reflections.

  • R > 99.8 % @ 10.6 µm and AOI 45° (s-pole)
  • R > 99.6 % @ 10.6 µm and AOI 45° (p-pole)
  • R > 75.0 % @ 0.632 µm and AOI 45° (r-pole)
